Oh what fun it is to celebrate holidays as a class!! We have had so many festive events this past week and wanted to share them with you all!

Wishing all the Grade 1 Busy Bee families a very healthy, enjoyable and relaxing holiday break!! Merry Christmas and see you in 2024 for a new year!
Christmas Concert
We really got in the elf spirit with our elf in our classroom. We wondered what it would be like to be an elf and thought it would be great to ask Santa to be an elf on a little field trip. While he said, not right now, he will think about it! We discussed how it might not work but he sure was honoured that we wanted to come and see him at the North Pole!
Santa Letter
Earlier this month, we wrote to Santa. This week we received some very special mail in return from the big guy himself. We made the NICE list!!!

Gingerbread House Making
Thank you so very much to all the families that supported our fun learning buddy activity!! We are so lucky to get to do activities such as this that would not be possible without an amazing community. A special thanks goes to our Grade 4/5 learning buddies, Mr. Glover, Mrs. Graham, Ms. Riddell, Mrs. Mathers and Mrs. Parkinson for helping with the event!! Hope the creations made the journey home safely! ;)A little Christmas spirit goes a long, long way! We enjoyed a school wide carol sing in the gym! What a fun last day of school!
Christopher
Christopher has been a very special visitor in our class this past month. He has done some really fun and silly things and has learned so much. He left all the students a little note and a special treat from the North Pole. We will miss him but wish him and Snowflake a very safe journey back to the North Pole!
Estimate Jar
At the beginning of the month, Christopher arrived with items for our Estimate Jar. Today was the perfect day to do some estimating and put our skip counting skills to the test.Congratulations to Austin who got the number of candies right on! He shared with his classmates and got to bring the extras home!
