Oh what fun it is to celebrate holidays as a class!! We have had so many festive events this past week and wanted to share them with you all!
Santa Letter
Earlier this month, we wrote to Santa. This week we received some very special mail in return from the big guy himself. We hope Santa we all get a good report back to Santa from Christopher when he returns to the North Pole!
Thank you so very much to all the families that supported our fun learning buddy activity!! We are so lucky to get to do activities such as this that would not be possible without an amazing community. A special thanks goes to our Grade 5 Learning Buddies, Mr. Glover, Mrs. Vandenbrink, Ms. Carr, Mrs. Ivanouski, Mrs. Frayne, Mrs. Hammond and Mrs. Westman for helping with the event!! Hope the creations made the journey home safely but we were mentally prepared if they happened to hit a snow storm and crumbled during transportation! ;)Gingerbread House Making
A little Christmas spirit goes a long, long way! We enjoyed some different spirit days, Christmas colouring, word searches, art, reading, a school wide carol sing in the gym, and a primary Christmas dance party! What a fun last week of school!
Christopher
Christopher has been a very special visitor in our class this past month. He has done some really fun and silly things and has learned so much. He left all the students a little note and a special treat from the North Pole. We will miss him but wish him and Snowflake a very safe journey back to the North Pole!Estimate Jar
At the beginning of the month, Christopher arrived with items for our Estimate Jar. Today was the perfect day to do some estimating and put our skip counting skills to the test. Congratulations to Morgan who was the closest guesser of the number of chocolate treats!! She shared with her classmates, Christopher for his journey home and got to bring the extras home!
Christmas Gift Time
Christopher hid our gifts from Mrs. Herbert and sent us on an adventure! It was so much fun!! Smiles all around and gifts for reading over Christmas!
