Oh what fun it is to celebrate holidays as a class!! We have had so many festive events this past week and wanted to share them with you all!
Santa Letter
Earlier this month, we wrote to Santa. This week we received some very special mail in return from the big guy himself. We hope we all get a good report back to Santa from Christopher when he returns to the North Pole!
Thank you so very much to all the families that supported our fun learning buddy activity!! We are so lucky to get to do activities such as this that would not be possible without an amazing community. A special thanks goes to our Grade 5/6 Learning Buddies, Mr. Glover, Mrs. Sheldon, Ms. Carr, Mrs. Ford, Mrs. Frayne, Mrs. Leppington and Ms. Found for helping with the event!! Hope the creations made the journey home safely but we were mentally prepared if they happened to hit a snow storm and crumbled during transportation! ;)Gingerbread House Making

A little Christmas spirit goes a long, long way! We enjoyed some Christmas colouring, word searches, art, reading, a school wide holiday sing along in the gym, and a primary Christmas dance party! What a fun last week of school!

Christopher
Christopher has been a very special visitor in our class this month. He has done some really fun and silly things and has learned so much. He left all the students a little note and a special treat from the North Pole. We will miss him but wish him and Snowflake a very safe journey back to the North Pole!

At the beginning of the month, Christopher arrived with items for our Estimate Jar. Our last day of school in December was the perfect day to do some estimating and put our skip counting skills to the test. Congratulations to Raiden & Jack who were the closest guessers of the number of holiday treats!! They shared with their classmates, Christopher for his journey home and got to bring home some extra candy as their winnings!

Learning Buddy Time
We had some time with our learning buddies this week as well to give them a little gift to say thanks for all their learning and wish them a happy holiday! We sure do look forward to our time with them!

Christmas Gift Time
Christopher hid our gifts from Mrs. Herbert and sent us on an adventure! It was so much fun!! Smiles all around and gifts for reading over Christmas! For our friends that weren't able to make it to school...we have yours waiting for you to open when we get back in January!!
