Spirit Bee Check In Chat

Image result for group of bees clipart
Today, we had our Busy Bee Check in Chat with our Spirit Bee Buddy Buzz Groups. Students discussed things that are going well in our class, and things we need to work on together as a group. The students come up with all the ideas and Ms. King just does the typing and facilitating of the discussion.
Things that are going well:
* Some of the class is listening so we have time to do writing in our Writer's Notebook. (Liam)
* I like that we have our own ipads and our own smile pockets. (Ewan)
* We are doing well at Spirit Bees. (Logan)
* What I like that is going well is writing and going to Spirit Bees and getting gummy bears when everyone gets smiles and no red sticks. (Scarlett)
* Something that is going well is that I have a really good teacher and it is Ms. King. (Zoe)
* The thing that is going well is that if no one gets red sticks and no smiles removed we will maybe get a gummy bear day. (Landon)
Things that we need to work on as a class:
* Something we need to work on is listening. (Ryan)
* We need to slow down and do our best work and not rush. (Quinn)
Ways to solve our concerns:
* Listening - if you be quiet and listen to the what the teacher says about the task then you will know what to do, if we do what we are suppose to then we would get more time at the things we like, when you are quiet you can hear the teacher talking, doing what you are asked the first time, pay attention to what we are doing
* Do Our Best Work - take your time, your mom or dad could help you, check your work for COPPSS, try your best, stay on task, don't rush
We continue to learn and grow together!
