Today, we had our Busy Bee Check in Chat with our Spirit Bee Buddy Buzz Groups. Students discussed things that are going well in our class, and things we need to work on together as a group. The students come up with all the ideas and Ms. King just does the typing and facilitating of the discussion.
Things that are going well:
* Something I like in our classroom is that we get to play new games in gym. (Leia)
* Something that is going well in our classroom is that we are learning lots. (Avaleigh)
* Something I like about the Busy Bee classroom is that we can go on our ipad. (Sydney)
* Something I like about our classroom is that we have ipads and we have an awesome teacher. (Hannah)
* Something that I like about our classroom is that we get to do Tech Tuesday. (Ewan)
* Something that I like about this classroom is that we get to do art. (Sylvie)
* Something that is going well in our classroom is that people are helping other people clean up. (Logan)
Things that we need to work on as a class:
* Something we need to work on in the Busy Bee classroom is tidying up faster. (Matthew)
* Maybe we shouldn't shout out when the teacher is talking. (Saskia)
Ways to solve our concerns:
Tidying Up: we could listen the first time asked to clean up, we could tidy up as fast as we can, we can help others tidy once you are done tidying your things
Not Shouting Out: we should put up our hand, we could wait until the teacher was done talking and then put our hand, maybe we should be quiet until the teacher calls you, you could listen to the teacher, control our bodies and our minds
This really confirms that students know the expectations and behaviours of a classroom. We continue to learn and grow together!
