Our First Week in the Busy Bee Classroom!

We are so excited to be in the Busy Bee classroom! We have had a fantastic week getting to know each other and jump into new learning for grade 1/2!

Here are some ideas about what each Busy Bee has enjoyed about their first week back at school.

• What I liked about Grade 1/2 is that we got to play with Math Centers. (Jessica)
• What I liked about school is that we got to do writing which I really liked. (Natalie)
• My favourite thing about school is playing. (Ashton)

• I like about the Busy Bee classroom is that I got to meet new friends. (Harper)
• What I liked about school is the smiles. (Kassy)
• My favourite thing about the Busy Bee classroom is get to see Aiden again and I didn't get to see him only on his birthday and that is it. (Benjamin)
• What I liked about school is that I get to be in the Busy Bee classroom. (Reed)
• What I liked about the Busy Bee classroom is that we did Art. (Isabella)
• What I liked about the Busy Bee classroom is that we got to do gym and we got a lot of smiles. (Aiden)
• What I liked about the classroom was the teacher. (Breslin)

• My favourite thing about school is playing in the zones. (Clayton)

• got to know one another
• practiced writing numbers
• learned a new poem
• learned some new games
• started to learn about repeating patterns
• started to learn how to create a tally chart
• started a giant spelling test
• started our reading centers
• wrote about our first day of school
• done some colouring
• learned the classroom rules
• met some new friends
• learned how to keep our classroom tidy after play time
• met Ms. King, Mrs. Stemmler and Mrs. Mohr
• learned some of the routines in Grade 1/2
• learned the magical 'yet' word

We are excited to be together as Busy Bees and look forward to all the new fun and interesting things we are going to learn to do!

What a great week we have had and what a positive mindset to start our school year off!
