The Grade 1 Busy Bees have been learning about what compassion looks like and sounds like. Christopher, our elf, really thinks compassion is great too!! He is proud of how the students in the class show compassion toward one another. Our discussion about compassion came quite naturally and led us to look for compassion in different books and videos. We found some really good books about compassion and sharing them with you, here:
We also watched some videos to get a good sense of what this word really meant.
We created a brainstorm and now have is posted in our classroom of our discussions as a reminder of how to be compassionate people. I think this was particularly easy for students as these students are compassionate little people, so thank you to the families for instilling this in these students as they do model this in our classroom regularly!
